Go Green/ Recycle swap gifts to go here:

recycling paper from free newspapers,these will make up a notebook.

This is the notebook, leftover ribbon and card from anothe rproject and recycled paper pages. I left the ragged edges rather than trimming it neatly as I find it rather appealing the way it shows that this was handmade : )

Yarn tidy - for keeping pets from attacking your ball of yarn and/or fluff and floorbits getting knit into your current project ; ) Made from a plastic dessert bowl and leftover yarn & ribbon.

Cucumber & mint soap;

500g Lard
500g Olive oil
150g Sunflower oil
36g coconut oil (using up leftovers!)

350ml ml pureed cucumbers
hanful of fresh mint leaves
154g lye

Never used cucumber instead of water before AND my stick blender blew up mid stir!!
I used a Glenfiddich whiskey bottle box for the mould this time, it's wider than the Pringles cans I usually use so I will have to slice these thinner than I normally do ; )

I took it out of the mould after 3 days and the bottom half was still pretty sticky. I'll leave it uncut for the rest of this week and hopefully it will be OK.

It's 12th June and I've reached 52 : )
If you count individual items I've surpassed 52 but somethings I count as one when it's a group.

5.5oz red palm oil
5.5 oz canola oil
8oz olive oil
8oz soya oil
1.5 oz castor oil
16oz lard

17 fl oz green tea and lemongrass herbal tea
5.7oz lye

scented with orange,citronella and lemongrass E.O - it smells gorgeous : )

I filled two and a half Pringles cans so I think I'll have about 25 cakes of soap when I've cut it.

a purse organiser or pursket as they're sometimes called. Lots of little pockets for your bits and bobs, the theory being that you keep everything in it and just swap it between your humongous handbag collection ; ) I even made my own interfacing in this by fusing plastic grocery bags, I think I made it a little on the thick side but the instructions said to use very heavy duty interfacing.

Reconned a pair of jeans into a half apron : ) It has 3 pockets built in, no messing about! 2nd pic shows lining fabric which I also used for the straps. The straps have a floral stitch that matches the one on the lower hem of the apron, if you have to topstitch, do it in style ; )

I made this from two stretch fabrics(which is fun - NOT) It is reversible and warm to boot : )
I know it looks small on me but that's cos it's a childsized one *lol* I might have to make a Karan sized one now though!
